Forma Caviuna and Cane Chair, 1950s
Chair designed by Martin Eisler together with Carlo Hauner and produced by Forma in the 1950s. The piece features a caviuna wood frame, an upholstered seat, and a checkered cane backrest. It is a rare example that synthesizes recurring aspects of Brazilian modernist furniture by emphasizing structure, experimenting with combinations of different Brazilian materials, and bringing together aesthetics and functionality.
