Jean Gillon (1919 – 2007), born in Romania, settled in São Paulo in 1956 and worked as an architect, designer, artist, and set designer. In 1961, he founded Cidam, later WoodArt, and developed a body of work marked by functionality, comfort, and beauty. From 1964 onward, his furniture was exported to several countries.
